Editing and Proofreading/Publishing and Presenting Every week we advance a little in the composition process, and we have realized that it is not an easy task. It takes time and dedication to obtain a result easy for the reader to understand and that fulfills the author´s purpose. This week we studied the last stages: “Editing and Proofreading” and “Publishing and presenting” I am going to tell you a little about what I learned.  Editing and Proofreading:  In this stage, it is necessary to check that the words are spelled correctly. You can use various resources such as dictionaries to make sure that the words used are correct and the writing is consistent. It is important to capitalize names, places, organizations, and other proper nouns.  It is necessary to check your grammar; verbs must be correctly conjugated, capitalization and punctuation are important to have coherence (commas, periods, semicolons).   REVISING Writing is not a random process and, it is necessary to return to our document as many times as we can to ensure that what we are writing is clear to the reader. This week I learned about "The Revising Stage" and want to share with you a little bit.  This stage can be challenging, which is why experts recommend focusing on one element at a time.  Also,  before starting the revising process, take a break to do any other activity, for example:  check your phone messages, social media applications, or practice hobbies to rest a little bit of writing and be more focused. The draft must be well organized and, the main idea must be are clear without missing the purpose.Once you have started revising your paragraph will be necessary to keep your attention and identify the ideas that do not have co...

DRAFTING Welcome back! Today, I will share what I have been studying during the week.  The topic was "drafting" and, this step occurs once we finish the prewriting technique. It is necessary to start creating the initial composition and start typing all the ideas we have but, caring about the order.  The drafting is not the final composition but, if you try to be clean from the beginning is going to be easier for you.  One important thing is that in this stage is not necessary to check grammar, in others word, you can make mistakes. When starting the drafting process, it is important to know what you are looking for, your goals about the text.   Are you trying to convince? Do you want to persuade? Do you want to tell a story? This answer can help you to know the way you need to follow. The activity for this week was interesting, I wrote about my daily routine and how to prepare a Margherita Pizza.  All these activities made me realize the importance of the...

It takes time and dedication to obtain the result we are expecting. To help us with the prewriting process; there are different techniques like the brainstorming.
