WELCOME BACK !!  The narrative paragraph This week we learned that the narrative paragraph is used to tell a story. To create a narrative paragraph, it is necessary to follow a sequence of action, that is, there should be a clear beginning, middle and end of the paragraph. This paragraph is like the descriptive one, however, this type of narrative paragraph allows the readers to identify on their own all parts of the text. Connectors are important because they allow the text to have a better flow of ideas and give it sequence .  These types of paragraphs tell a story. Also, narrative paragraphs are used in fiction to narrate unfolding events, but also describe a sequence of actual activities.  When narrative paragraphs resemble fiction, the writer has greater freedom to write in the style of preference. TYPE OF PARAGRAPHS : DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH This week I learned that there are four types of paragraphs: Descriptive, persuasive, narrative and expository.  During the class we focused on talking about the descriptive paragraph.     DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH For this type of paragraph, it is important to use adjectives so that the reader can better imagine and understand what they are reading. It helps to create a mental image using adjectives.  The descriptive paragraph, describes and shows the reader what a thing, person or place looks like, therefore, it is important to choose well the words to use. Welcome to my blog! COHESION AND COHERENCE This week we continue studying how to write our paragraphs in a better way and that they have unity and coherence. We also studied the words that allows to make the transition between ideas. When we already have an established sentence, it is important that we shape it or restructure it so that it has cohesion and coherence.  Cohesion is important because it gives a sense of flow to the text and allows the reader to understand better about what we are talking. When a piece of writing is coherent, it does not contain radical changes that leave the reader with the feeling that the idea is not finalized. A coherent writing links the previous idea with the new one, providing clarity in the text.   Coherence means that the entire text must make sense, if the ideas are confused or cut off, it is necessary to rewrite them so that the whole writing has harmony and meaning.  TRANSITION WORDS To achieve a coherent and cohesive paragraph,...

The purpose of paragraphs is to focus on a point, in other words, to develop an idea.
