Editing and Proofreading/Publishing and Presenting
Editing and Proofreading/Publishing and Presenting
Every week we advance
a little in the composition process, and we have realized that it is not an
easy task. It takes time and dedication to obtain a result easy for the reader
to understand and that fulfills the author´s purpose. This week we studied the
last stages: “Editing and Proofreading” and “Publishing and presenting” I am
going to tell you a little about what I learned.
Editing and
Proofreading:
In this stage, it is
necessary to check that the words are spelled correctly. You can use various
resources such as dictionaries to make sure that the words used are correct and
the writing is consistent. It is important to capitalize names, places, organizations,
and other proper nouns.
It is necessary to
check your grammar; verbs must be correctly conjugated, capitalization and
punctuation are important to have coherence (commas, periods, semicolons). All the above so that the writing can be error-free, which will allow
the message to be effective and easy to understand.
Some symbols can help
us in this process:
Publishing and Presenting:
In this Stage, our
composition is ready; it has gone through all the necessary review processes.
The composition is neat, error-free, and ready to be published.
As usual, I would like
to share the activity of the class, this time it was a collaborative work in
pairs and the homework of the week, where I talk about the topic: My opinion on living alone.
