A tell tale-heart

Welcome to the blog of the week!

It is almost the end of the semester and the classes are about to finish, that is why this week was focused on the practice of what has been learned during the last months.

The week's activity was about reading a short story  "The tell-tale heart" by the famous writer Edgar Allan Poe. I had never read the stories written by him and I must confess that it was quite difficult to understand the story the first time I read it, therefore, I had to read several times in order to have a better understanding of the text.

After reading I decided to look for those words I did not know and that allowed me to understand the story in a better way.

My teacher asked us to write a short story in the first person of one of the characters mentioned by Edgard Allan Poe (a police officer), that is, from the point of view of that specific character.
Before I started writing I had to answer some questions about the story.

The first stage was a prewriting technique, I created brainstorming through a list and I was able to put things and important ideas for the development of my story.

In Stages 2, 3 and 4 I started to make the draft and make all necessary corrections, and to change phrases, ideas, sentences and correct spelling and grammar.

Finally I continued with stage 5 which is publishing and presenting, which is the final result of my short story.

I want to share with you my activity so you can read it and if you want you can leave your opinion and comments about my short story. I hope you can enjoy reading as much as I enjoy doing this week's activity.
